Advanex Europe Employees Take Part in Wellbeing Sessions

Our people and their wellbeing matters. Here at Advanex, we support employees through quarterly wellbeing campaigns. We listened to those colleagues who had asked for a ‘wellbeing drop-in session’, and this was run by the HR Team.

The session was a great opportunity for sharing a range of wellbeing-related materials and promoting our Employee Assistance Programme (which provides benefits such as money back on treatments, 24-hour GP access and a counselling service). Topics covered included mental health, smoking cessation, diet and menopause. At the session, we also asked what topics colleagues would like to cover in the coming year.

There was the opportunity to take one’s blood pressure, with information on what the result could mean. High blood pressure can have serious health implications but can be managed by visiting a GP. Some were more than happy to share their results, which helped to generate discussion of the importance of these types of health checks. The session also highlighted our Mental Health First Aiders and HR’s open door policy.

While the session’s topics were serious, the HR Team tried to make it engaging with music, a quiz, healthy snacks/drinks and games. Many enjoyed contributing to ‘mindfulness colouring’ – it’s a pity they only had a few minutes!

The take-up of the session and feedback were positive, and the HR Team looks forward to organising similar sessions in future alongside the quarterly wellbeing campaigns.
