The opportunity

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to provide specialist quality engineering support to the business by preserving Advanex’s reputation by ensuring our products are capable to drive sustainable growth.

The Role

The responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to:

  • To ensure product quality is achieved, maintained, and improved by investigating root causes.
  • To ensure product quality is achieved, maintained, and improved by implementing effective containment and preventative measures.
  • To calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment.
  • To generate required  FAIRS & PPAP’s
  • To perform product audits as required by company procedures
  • To assist in the monitoring and development of products, processes, suppliers and sub-contractors
  • To maintain required records in EFACS
  • To generate reports into nonconformance investigations to interested parties.
  • To suggest and assist with improvement recommendations for the department or Company.
  • To report any hazards or near misses using iAuditor.
  • To always represent and promote our Company and our values in a positive light in line with Company policies.
  • To perform any other duties as reasonably required by your Manager or a Director.
  • To attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
  • To perform role in line with Advanex Fundamentals whilst demonstrating Company Core values.


The person

For this role, it is essential that you have the following:

  • HNC in quality or engineering
  • Proven record of working in Quality Control Environment
  • Structured problem solving / root cause analysis
  • Good knowledge of inspection and inspection equipment.
  • Analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to facilitate change
  • Negotiation skills
  • Good people skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Statistical Process control (SPC)
  • Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
  • Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP)
  • Motivated to work alone and be a part of a busy team.
  • A positive ‘will do’ attitude
  • Strong work ethics
  • Ability to engage with various stake holders within the organisation
  • Can remain calm under pressure
  • Enthusiasm and desire to learn



  • HND in quality or engineering
  • 6 Sigma green belt or working towards
  • Degree in quality or engineering
  • Understanding of management systems
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Internal auditing
  • Metallurgy knowledge
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing or engineer business
  • Internal auditing
  • Project management experience
