The opportunity

We are looking for a Control System Engineer to design and develop automated processes.

The Role
The responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Design control systems
  • Development and continuous improvement
  • Ensure all machine and automation controls meet current health and safety legislation requirements
  • To troubleshoot existing machine and automation control systems
  • To suggest and assist with improvement recommendations for the department or Company.

 

The person

For this role, it is essential that you have the following:

  • Technical qualification in electrical engineering or an engineering controls related discipline: HNC, HND, BEng
  • Experience in PLC programming and HMI development
  • Experience with servo control
  • Experience with OMRON and BECKHOFF systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to follow instructions and processes.

 

Desired:

  • Experience of networked systems
  • Experience in VBA programming
  • Experience of working with vision systems
  • Previous experience of working in a precision engineering/manufacturing environment.
