Advanex Awards - Celebrating Success!

We have recently held our annual Advanex Awards ceremony.
Here, colleagues nominate each other based on particular success or achievements that will help to improve business performance.
The event was held at Eastwood Hall and was the perfect opportunity to celebrate nominees and their achievements.

Name: Mike North
Job role: CoilThread® Product Manager
Career background:
20 years in the RAF (aircraft engineer) and 20 years with Loctite Adhesives (technical support engineer).
What do you hope to bring to your role?:
To ensure the company achieves its goals and objectives by identifying and maximising market opportunities for the KATO® CoilThread® brand.
What do you like to do outside of work?:
Over the years I’ve enjoyed plenty of sports like gymnastics, rugby, parachuting and motorcycling. These days I enjoy cycling, skiing and walking and of course developing my armchair sportsman skills.

Career background:
Sales Office Executive, PA, Commercial Secretary
What do you hope to bring to your role?:
Using my skills and experience, I’m looking forward to working with the team to help create robust sales procedures and a strong customer focussed approach for our business.
What do you like to do outside of work?:
I have a horse called Nibbs, who is 15yrs old. We compete regularly throughout the summer and the last few years have been very competitive. My highlight of last year was to win one of our classes which was a great achievement for us both.

8 years in the food industry as a service administrator, local lift company responsible for a team of engineers and key accounts.
What do you hope to bring to your role?:
I am very keen and ambitious, so hope to bring a fresh outlook to the role whilst learning from a long standing company and team.
What do you like to do outside of work?:
I love to play indoor bowls. In fact I play for Nottinghamshire County and have recently qualified for the top 16 in the county for the mixed 4's!
